Crocket Pot Lasagna
- 1 lb ground beef or 1 lb turkey
- 1 lb ground Italian sausage
- 1 medium onion, diced (optional)
- 1 small green pepper, diced (optional)
- 4 ounces mixed mushrooms, diced (optional)
- 4 garlic cloves, chopped (optional)
- italian seasoning, Salt, Pepper
- 4 cups mozzarella cheese
- 1 (16 ounce) container small curd cottage cheese (small container) or 1 (16 ounce) container ricotta cheese (small container)
- 2 (24 ounce) jars spaghetti sauce
- 8 uncooked lasagna noodles (Dreamfield's)
- Brown the meat along with the onions and garlic along with seasonings, drain off the fat.
- Spray a large, oval-shaped crock pot with non-stick spray better yet, use a crock pot liner for easier cleanup.
- Put a small bit of spaghetti sauce in the crock pot just enough to lightly cover the bottom.
- Then, place in 4 of the uncooked lasagna noodles.
- Breaking them up, as necessary.
- Layer on half of the ground meat.
- Now, pour on a jar of the spaghetti sauce I also recommend adding some salt and pepper to this sauce layer to cook inches But this is up to you and depends on what sauce youre using.
- Then dollop on half of the cottage cheese or ricotta.
- Put on 2 cups of the mozzarella.
- Now, repeat the layers: noodles, meat, cottage/ricotta and mozzarella.
- Put crock pot on medium for 4-5 hours, if your crock pot does not have medium, then 3 hours on high, 1 on low.
