Cheese Pennies with Little Smokies
- 1/2 cups Shortening
- 3 Tablespoons Sugar
- 1 whole Egg, Beaten
- 1- 1/2 cup Grated Cheddar Cheese
- 1- 3/4 cup Flour
- 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
- 1/2 teaspoons Salt
- 2 Tablespoons Milk
- 18 pieces Oscar Meyer Little Smokies (cut In Half)
- Cream shortening and sugar together in a bowl, then add beaten egg and cheese.
- Sift dry ingredients (flour, baking powder and salt) into another bowl and then add to the cheese mixture.
- Then add milk and mix well.
- Cut each of the Oscar Meyer Little Smokies in half and roll each piece in a ball of cheese dough.
- Bake on an ungreased sheet for 20 minutes at 350 degrees F. Makes 3-4 dozen.
