Chewy Taro Root and Cheese Croquettes

  1. Steam the taro root until tender enough for a skewer to pierce easily, peel the skin, and mash roughly.
  2. Combine the corn soup powder into Step 1 and mash.
  3. Check the taste and season with salt and pepper, mash and mix until there are no lumps.
  4. Take a portion of Step 2, put a piece of cheese inside, form into balls, and coat with panko.
  5. The freshly fried croquettes are delicate, so let them cool without touching them.
