Bean Sprout Tuna Chow Mein (Low Cholesterol) Recipe
- 1 chicken bouillon cube
- 1 c. water
- 1 tbsp. soy sauce
- Salt & pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp. cornstarch
- 6 stalks celery, cut diagonally
- 2 med. onions, slivered
- 1 (6 ounce.) can bamboo shoots, liquid removed
- 1 (4 ounce.) can mushrooms, liquid removed
- 2 c. bean sprouts fresh, or possibly 1 can, liquid removed
- 2 tbsp. oil
- 1 (7 ounce.) can water packed tuna, liquid removed
- Dissolve bouillon water.
- Add in soy sauce, salt and pepper.
- Stir in cornstarch till dissolved.
- Slice celery diagonally 1/8 inch thick.
- Slice onions in very thin slices or possibly slivers.
- Cut mushrooms in slices.
