Asiago Cheese Sticks Recipe
- 2 c. Cake flour
- 1 1/3 c. Semolina flour
- 2 Tbsp. Baking pwdr
- 1/2 c. Plus 2 Tbs. unsalted butter, softened
- 1/4 c. Plus 1 Tbs. sugar
- 4 lrg Large eggs
- 1 lrg Egg yolk
- 3/4 c. Lowfat milk
- 1/2 c. Buttermilk
- 3/4 c. Asiago cheese, grated
- Prep: 15 minutes, Cook: 15 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350 F. Combine first 3 ingredients in a bowl.
- Stir to mix well and set aside.
- Cream butter and sugar in a mixing bowl, till smooth and light.
- Add in Large eggs and egg yolk, one at a time, beating and scraping the bowl constantly till smooth.
- Stir in reserved dry ingredients till incorporated.
- Add in lowfat milk and buttermilk and mix to create a smooth batter.
- Mix in Asiago.
- Pour batter into greased cornstick molds (or possibly prepared cake pan) and bake 15-20 min or possibly till golden and cooked through.
- Remove from heat and let cold briefly before turning out of pans and serving.
