Chocolate Mint Snaps Recipe

  1. Heat chocolate over warm water in top of double boiler.
  2. Remove from heat.
  3. Cream shortening, gradually add in 2 c. sugar, beating till light and fluffy.
  4. Add in melted chocolate, Large eggs, corn syrup, water and flavorings; mix well.
  5. Combine flour, soda, and salt; add in to creamed mix, beating just till blended.
  6. Shape dough into 1 inch balls and roll in remaining sugar.
  7. Place on ungreased cookie sheets; bake at 350 degrees for 10 min.
  8. Cold on cookie sheets 5 min.
  9. Remove to wire racks and cold completely.
  10. Yield: 10 1/2 dozen.
