Savory Beef Recipe

  1. Brown onions slowly in fat.
  2. Cut meat into serving pcs; add in to onions and brown.
  3. Add in stock, vinegar and catsup.
  4. Cover lightly.
  5. Simmer till meat is tender, allowing 2 hrs for shank and 1 1/2 hrs for rump or possibly round.
  6. Serves 6.
  7. Note: I use round steaks and cook in Dutch oven.
  8. Delicious served with mashed potatoes, vegetables and salad.
