Homemade Hamburger Helper

  1. In a bowl mix all of the spices, bouillon granules, gravy powder and cornstarch and set aside.
  2. In a large pan or stock pot brown ground beef on medium high until completely cooked.
  3. Add the spice mix and stir to coat the meat.
  4. Add the tomato sauce and stir to combine.
  5. Add the chicken stock and water (2-1/2 cups but up to 3 total if you like it really saucy) and mix well.
  6. Add the macaroni and stir to combine.
  7. Bring to a boil then reduce to a simmer and cook, covered, for 15 minutes or until the pasta is tender.
  8. Be sure to stir every few minutes so the pasta doesnt stick to the bottom of the pan.
  9. Serve with bread and a salad.
  10. Yummy!
  11. Serves 8 or more depending on your appetite.

  13. If you want to only serve 4 6 Here are the reductions: use only 1 pound of ground beef; only 2 cups water; only 2 cups chicken stock; and only 1-1/2 cups elbow macaroni.
  14. Everything else stays the same.
