Homemade Hamburger Helper
- 2 Tablespoons Chili Powder
- 1 Tablespoon Granulated Garlic
- 2 Tablespoons Minced Dried Onions
- 2 Tablespoons Dried Parsley
- 1/2 teaspoons Pepper
- 3 Tablespoons Beef Bouillon Granules
- 1 Tablespoon Brown Gravy Powder, From A Package Of Brown Gravy Mix
- 2 Tablespoons Cornstarch
- 2 pounds Lean Ground Beef
- 8 ounces, fluid Can Tomato Sauce
- 2- 1/2 cups Chicken Stock
- 2- 1/2 cups Water, Use 3 Cups If You Like It Really Saucy
- 2 cups Elbow Macaroni
- In a bowl mix all of the spices, bouillon granules, gravy powder and cornstarch and set aside.
- In a large pan or stock pot brown ground beef on medium high until completely cooked.
- Add the spice mix and stir to coat the meat.
- Add the tomato sauce and stir to combine.
- Add the chicken stock and water (2-1/2 cups but up to 3 total if you like it really saucy) and mix well.
- Add the macaroni and stir to combine.
- Bring to a boil then reduce to a simmer and cook, covered, for 15 minutes or until the pasta is tender.
- Be sure to stir every few minutes so the pasta doesnt stick to the bottom of the pan.
- Serve with bread and a salad.
- Yummy!
- Serves 8 or more depending on your appetite.
- Enjoy!
- If you want to only serve 4 6 Here are the reductions: use only 1 pound of ground beef; only 2 cups water; only 2 cups chicken stock; and only 1-1/2 cups elbow macaroni.
- Everything else stays the same.
