Simmered Pork Belly with Eggs and Daikon Radish

  1. Prepare the boiled eggs.
  2. You can make them your own way.
  3. I use a thumbtack.
  4. Stab the pin through the bottom of the egg.
  5. Put the eggs in a boiling water directly and boil for about 8 to 9 minutes.
  6. Peel off the skin.
  7. It will easily peel off.
  8. Cut the block of pork belly meat and radish into bite-sized pieces.
  9. Heat a pan and grill the pork belly well.
  10. Wipe the pork fat rendering with a paper towel frequently.
  11. Add the daikon radish and grill together with the meat.
  12. The oil from the pork will soak into the daikon radish.
  13. If oil is still rendering, wipe with paper towels frequently.
  14. Transfer Step 10 to a pot and add the boiled eggs.
  15. Put all of the marked ingredients in the pan.
  16. Put a small lid that sits right on top of the food (otoshibuta or drop lid) and simmer for about 20 minutes on medium low heat.
  17. The seasoning has settled in well.
  18. You're all done!
