Blessed Endurance Granola Bars
- The Basics:
- 2 cups Regular Oats (not Instant)
- 1 cup Flour (I Like Stone Ground Whole Wheat Flour Best)
- 1/4 cups Brown Sugar (optional)
- 1/2 cups Wheat Germ
- 1 teaspoon Cinnamon (optional)
- 1 whole Egg, Beaten
- 1/2 cups Honey
- 1/2 cups Vegetable Oil
- 2 teaspoons Vanilla (i Usually Use More)
- The Extras:
- Dried Fruit, Nuts, Seeds
- (think Dried Apricots, Papaya, Mango, Sunflower Seeds, Pumpkin Seeds, Walnuts, Almonds, Pecans, Or Even Chocolate Chips)
- You Can Also Add Mashed Figs Or Bananas, Or Peanut Butter
- 1.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Grease a 9 x 13 baking pan .
- 2.
- Combine all dry ingredients.
- (including the dry extras)

- In a small bowl, beat the egg.
- Pour in the oil, honey, and vanilla and stir.
- (including wet ingredients like mashed bananas, figs, or peanut butter)
- 4.
- Make a well in the dry ingredients and pour in the wet.
- Stir well.
- 5.
- Dump into the greased baking pan, spreading evenly and pressing it in with your hands to pack it in and make it all stick together well.
- 6.
- Bake for about 22-25 minutes or until the edges begin to brown.
- Let cool for a few minutes, but be sure to cut them before they cool completely because they harden as they cool.
- 7.
- Start making another batch right away because these wont last long!
