Whole Wheat Peanut Butter Cookies Recipe
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 c. peanut butter
- 1 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 c. toasted wheat germ
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- In large bowl, cream butter, peanut butter, sugar, egg, and vanilla.
- Fold in dry ingredients, except wheat germ.
- Blend into cream mix; shape into 1 inch balls and roll in wheat germ.
- Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
- Flatten in criss-cross pattern with fork tines.
- Bake 10 to 12 min.
- Cold slightly, then remove from pan.
- Yield: 4 dozen.
