Salsa Mini Burgers
- 1/3 cup sour cream
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1/4 cup thick and chunky salsa
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 4 (3/4-ounce) slices Land O Lakes Deli American, cut into quarters
- 8 slider or dollar-sized buns, split
- 8 slices Roma tomato
- 4 Bibb lettuce leaves, halved
- Jalapeno slices, if desired
- Heat gas grill on medium or charcoal grill until coals are ash white.
- Combine sour cream and cilantro in bowl.
- Cover; refrigerate until serving time.
- Combine ground beef, salsa, salt and pepper in bowl.
- Shape into 8 small patties.
- Place patties onto grill.
- Grill, turning once, 8-10 minutes or until internal temperature reaches at least 160F and meat is no longer pink in center.
- Top each burger with 2 pieces cheese; let melt slightly.
- Top each bottom half of bun with 1 lettuce leaf half, 1 burger, 1 slice tomato, 2 teaspoons sour cream mixture and top half of bun.
- Garnish with jalapeno slices, if desired.
