Distilled Homemade Vanilla
- 12 pieces Vanilla Beans
- 28 ounces, fluid Vodka (Usually A Whole Bottle)
- 12 bottles Empty And Clean 4 Ounce Bottles With Lids
- Gather and clean your jars I used twelve 4 ounce bottles.
- Cut your vanilla beans into 3 pieces each, one entire bean (or 3 pieces) should fit into each jar or bottle youre using.
- Put your cut beans into jars (you can also slice them open lengthwise, but its not required.)
- Measure 1/2 Cups of vodka per jar and using a funnel, fill each jar pouring the vodka in over the vanilla beans.
- Cap the jars and set them on a sunny windowsill for 3-4 months to distill.
- When it reaches a nice amber color its ready to use ... and its delicious!
