Simple Scallop Saute in Soy Sauce & Butter
- 6 to 8 Scallops
- 1 tbsp Soy sauce
- 1 Butter
- 1 tbsp Sugar
- 1 tbsp Mirin
- 1 Plain flour
- Lightly blanch and wash the scallops in water.
- Drain in a colander.
- Remove the black intestine part.
- Coat the scallops with flour.
- Add some oil to a frying pan, and cook both sides until golden brown.
- Once they've browned add the sugar and mirin and bring to a simmer.
- Add the butter and soy sauce, and simmer.
- When the sauces have reduced, it's done.
