Plaza Iii Steak Soup Recipe
- 1 stick butter
- 1/2 gal. water
- 1 pound round steak, cut into cubes
- 1 c. cubed carrots
- 1 pkg. frzn mixed vegetables
- 1 teaspoon monosodium glutamate (MSG)
- 2 teaspoon beef stock base
- 1 teaspoon Cavenar's Greek seasoning
- 1 c. flour
- 1 pound grnd chuck
- 1 c. cubed onion
- 1 c. cubed celery
- 1 can tomatoes, diced
- 3 teaspoon Kitchen Bouquet
- 2 teaspoon chicken stock base
- Pepper to taste
- Don't salt till soup is done and tasted.
- Heat butter in large kettle.
- Stir in flour to make a smooth paste.
- Gradually add in water, stirring constantly, and cook till liquid boils.
- Brown grnd chuck and round steak, drain grease.
- Add in meats to soup kettle.
- In saucepan, add in onions, carrots, celery and water to cover.
- Bring to a boil and simmer several min.
- Drain and add in vegetables to soup.
- Add in frzn vegetables, tomatoes, seasonings, chicken and beef stock base.
- Mix well.
- Simmer till vegetables are tender.
- Serves 6 to 8.
