Port Syrup

  1. Stir together all of the ingredients in a small saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Cook, stirring constantly, for 5 to 10 minutes, or until the sugar dissolves and the syrup is very hot.
  3. Pour the syrup into a container with a lid and allow it to cool to room temperature before covering and storing in the refrigerator.
