Vegemite Asian Prawn Skewers
- 1 1/2 tablespoons VEGEMITE
- 2 teaspoons minced garlic
- 2 teaspoons minced ginger
- 2 teaspoons sesame oil
- 2 teaspoons oil
- 1 1/2 tablespoons coriander paste
- 1 1/2 tablespoons sweet chilli sauce
- 500g green prawn cutlets, deveined Safeway 1 lb For $8.99 thru 02/09
- Barbecue vegetables, for serving
- SOAK the skewers in boiling water for 20-30 minutes.
- Combine the Vegemite with the garlic, ginger, oils, coriander and chilli sauce to form a marinade.
- THREAD each prawn along the length of a bamboo skewer.
- Brush well with the marinade and refrigerate for 30-45 minutes.
- BARBECUE the prawns over a medium heat for 5-6 minutes, turning occasionally, until cooked through.
- Serve immediately with barbecued vegetables.
