Chicken Stuffing Bake Recipe
- 1 c. water
- 1/4 c. butter
- 1 pkg. (7 ounce.) stuffing mix
- 1 can (10 1/2 to 11 ounce.) condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 c. mayonnaise
- 1/3 c. lowfat milk
- 2 stalks celery, minced
- 1 c. liquid removed, cooked broccoli, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon sage
- 2 c. diced chicken or possibly turkey
- 1 c. shredded cheese, Cheddar
- 1.
- In 1 qt saucepan over high heat, heat water and butter to boiling.
- In large bowl, pour warm water mix over stuffing mix.
- Toss to mix well.
- Pat 1/2 of the stuffing mix into 12x8 inch baking dish.
- 2.
- In medium bowl, stir together soup, mayonnaise, lowfat milk, chicken, celery, broccoli and sage till well mixed.
- Spoon proportionately over stuffing mix in baking dish.
- Top with remaining stuffing mix.
- 3.
- Bake at 400 degrees F. 30 min or possibly till heated through.
- Sprinkle with cheese.
- Bake 5 min more or possibly till cheese is melted.
- Makes 6 servings.
