Crunchy Fudge Sandwiches Recipe
- 1 (6 ounce.) (1 c.) Nestle's butterscotch morsels
- 1/2 c. peanut butter
- 4 c. Kellogg's Rice Krispies
- 1 (6 ounce.) (1 c.) Nestle's semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 c. sifted confectioners' sugar
- 2 tbsp. soft butter
- 1 tbsp. water
- Heat butterscotch morsels with peanut butter in heavy saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly till well blended.
- Remove from heat.
- Add in Rice Krispies, stirring till well coated with butterscotch mix.
- Press half of cereal in 8 x 8 x 2 inch pan.
- Refrigeratein refrigerator while preparing fudge mix.
- Set remaining cereal mix aside.
- Combine chocolate morsels, sugar, butter, and water; stir over warm water till chocolate melts and till mix is well blended.
- Spread over chilled mix.
- Spread remaining cereal mix proportionately over top.
- Press gently.
- Remove from refrigerator about 10 min before cutting into squares.
