Fresh Fruit Soup

  1. Put fruit in saucepan with water, wine, sugar and cinnamon.
  2. Cover; simmer 1 hour, until fruit is very tender.
  3. Force fruit through a sieve and return to liquid.
  4. Make a paste with cornstarch and 2 tsp.
  5. of water.
  6. Stir into soup and bring to a boil.
  7. Reduce heat; cook 3 to 5 minutes.
  8. Remove cinnamon stick(s).
  9. Let cool, then chill.
