Auntie's Health Cake Recipe

  1. Combine flour, cinnamon, baking soda and salt in mixing bowl.
  2. Cut in butter using pastry blender.
  3. Add in molasses, egg and applesauce.
  4. Beat well.
  5. Stir in raisins.
  6. Pour into greased and floured 8-inch square pan.
  7. Bake at 350 degrees till toothpick inserted in center comes out clean, 40 to 45 min.
  8. Turn out on cake rack to cold.
  9. Cut into squares.
  10. This recipe yields 8 servings.
