Cheesy Meat Lasagna
- 1 (8 ounce) packagesliced pepperoni
- 1 lb hot Italian sausage
- 1 lb hamburger
- 16 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 eggs
- 12 ounces cottage cheese or 12 ounces ricotta cheese
- 1 (8 ounce) package lasagna noodles
- 1 (8 ounce) can diced tomatoes (or we use spaghetti sauce)
- 1 (8 ounce) can mushrooms or 8 ounces sliced fresh mushrooms
- 1 green pepper, sliced
- 1 tablespoon garlic
- 2 tablespoons italian seasoning
- Cook lasagna according to package directions.
- While pasta is cooking, brown sausage and hamburger.
- After sausage and hamburger is browned, add pepperoni.
- Mix in mushrooms, green pepper, and tomatoes (or sauce).
- Add garlic and italian seasoning.
- Let simmer until vegetables are thoroughly cooked.
- Blend cottage cheese, 8 ozs of mozzarella cheese, and 2 eggs until well mixed.
- Line bottom of deep-dish pan with single layer of lasagna.
- Pour 1/2 cheese mixture
- Add another layer of lasagna.
- Pour 1/2 meat sauce mixture.
- Add another layer of lasagna.
- Add remaining cheese mixture.
- Add another layer of lasagna.
- Add remaining meat mixture.
- Top with 8 oz mozzarella cheese.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake at 350 for 25 minutes.
- Remove aluminum foil and bake at 350 for another 25 minutes.
- Let sit for 10 minutes before serving.
