Lady April's Renaissance Chili
- 12 cups water
- 2 cups pinto beans, dried
- 2 each jalapeno pepper chopped
- 1 1/2 cups meat substitute
- 1 each onions chopped
- 2 cups TVP (Texturized Vegetable Protein)
- 1 can tomato sauce
- 2 each tomatoes chopped
- 4 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 1/2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons cocoa powder
- 4 teaspoons sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes crushed
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- Clean and rinse beans.
- Bring to a boil in 12 cups water, turnoff heat and soak for one hour.
- Add jalapenos and Heartline Meatless Meat and cookuntil beans are tender.
- Add rest of ingredients and simmer 30 minutes more.
