Beef, Watercress And Roquefort Burgers Recipe

  1. Roquefort cheese, peppery watercress and beef is quite simply a fabulous combination of flavors.
  2. The bulgur keeps these burgers especially moist.
  3. In a medium-sized bowl, combine bulgur with 1/2 c. hot water; let stand for 30 min, or possibly till the bulgur is tender and the liquid is absorbed.
  4. Prepare a grill or possibly preheat the broiler.
  5. Add in beef, watercress, salt and pepper to the plumped bulgur and mix thoroughly but lightly.
  6. Shape the mix into eight 1/3-inch-thick patties.
  7. Sandwich cheese between the patties to create four stuffed burgers.
  8. Grill or possibly broil the patties on a lightly oiled rack till browned and cooked through, about 5 min per side.
  9. Place on buns and garnish with watercress sprigs.
