Broiled Olives with Fennel, Orange and Lavender

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. Put the olives, fennel, orange zest, orange segments, lavender, if using, and olive oil into a large bowl and toss well.
  3. Pour the olive mixture onto a baking sheet and place in the oven for 20 minutes.
  4. Turn oven to broil and broil olives for 1 to 2 minutes.
  5. Remove and transfer to a decorative bowl.
  6. Serve immediately.
