Easy Glazed Carrots w/ Basil & Orange
- 1 lb thin baby carrots
- 1 orange
- 3/4 oz basil; chiffonade
- 1 1/2 tbsp orange peel seasoning
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1/4 tsp ground white pepper
- 1 stick butter
- 1 pinch sugar
- Heat butter in a large saute pan on medium-low heat until butter turns brown.
- Squeeze half the orange into the pan.
- Add carrots.
- Season with sugar, pepper, and orange seasoning.
- Toss
- Saute until carrots are tender.
- Add a touch of olive oil if the butter gets too hot.
- Toss with honey.
- Toss with basil.
- Garnish with orange zest.
- Variations; Mustard, parsley, horseradish, brown sugar, maple, bourbon
