Classic Gumbo
- 1 lb Smoked sausage
- 1 lb Bacon
- 1 lb chicken breasts
- 1 lb Long grain rice unrinced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 Bell pepper, chopped
- 5 clove chopped garlic
- 12 oz tomato paste
- 3 tbsp seasalt
- 1 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp habanero
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 6 cup water
- 2 tsp paprika
- Simmer cut up sausage, chopped bacon, and cut up chicken in a large skillet with bell pepper, onion and garlic.
- Simmer until chicken is fully cooked.
- In large pot add 1 pound of rice to 6 cups of water.
- Add tomato paste, sea salt, cayenne, habenero, paprika and black pepper to rice and water.
- Turn stove top up to med-high and begin to slowly bring to a boil.
- Once meats are ready simply add to pot of rice mixture and let come to a boil.
- Once boiling set on simmer and cover until rice is fully cooked.
