Easy Vegetable Chow Mein
- 2 packages 3 Ounce Packages Of Ramen Noodles (or Chow Mein Noodles If You Can Find Them!)
- 1/2 teaspoons Butter
- 2 cups Mixed Vegetables (we Used A Frozen Pack Consisting Of Broccoli, Onions, Water Chestnuts, Carrots & Peppers.)
- 1/2 cups Soy Sauce
- 1/4 cups Water
- 1 teaspoon Brown Sugar
- 1/2 teaspoons Garlic Powder
- 1/2 teaspoons Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
- 1/2 teaspoons Cayenne Powder
- Bring a pot of water to a boil and cook your noodles according to the package instructions (dont use the flavor packet).
- Drain them then put them into a bowl and toss with butter to prevent sticking.
- Set aside.
- Prepare your vegetables as instructed on the package.
- Since we used a frozen pack, this just required 5 minutes in the microwave.
- Combined all of the ingredients for your sauce in a bowl and whisk until sugar is dissolved.
- Bring a saucepan up to medium heat, and throw in your noodles.
- Leave them undisturbed for 2-3 minutes to allow them to start crisping.
- Add in your cooked vegetables then pour in your sauce.
- Toss everything to coat and allow the mixture to fry for another 2-3 minutes.
- The rest of the cooking time will depend on how thick you like your sauce, or how crisp you like your noodles.
- Just keep an eye on it until youve reached your preference.
- Remove from heat, split into two servings and enjoy!
