Penne With Sausage and Peppers

  1. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil, add pasta and cook to package directions.
  2. Meanwhile, cook sausage in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat for 5 minutes, or until browned, breaking into small chunks.
  3. Remove to plate.
  4. Add oil, peppers and onion to the skillet.
  5. Cook, stirring occasionally for 5 minutes, or until lightly browned.
  6. Push vegetables aside, add garlic and saute 1 minute.
  7. Add sausage, tomatoes, salt and pepper; stir to combine.
  8. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer for 10 minutes.
  9. Drain pasta, transfer to a large serving bowl and add sauce.
  10. Toss to mix and coat.
