Date Night Steaks
- 3 Tablespoons Olive Oil
- 1 Tablespoon Kosher Salt
- 2 cloves Garlic, Grated
- 1 teaspoon Freshly Ground Black Pepper
- 2 whole Filet Mignons, 1 Inch Thick
- 1/2 cups Pinot Noir
- 10 whole Mini Portabellos, Sliced
- 4 Tablespoons Butter
- 1/4 cups Heavy Cream
- 1/2 teaspoons Kosher Salt
- 1.
- To prepare the marinade, combine the oil, kosher salt, garlic, and ground pepper.
- 2.
- Spread oil mixture over the tops of the steaks.
- 3.
- Drizzle wine over steaks and allow to marinate for at least three hours.
- 4.
- Preheat a gas grill.
- Temperature should be at least 500 degrees.
- 5.
- Sear steaks over high heat for two minutes per side.
- 6.
- Place steaks on the top rack of the grill and allow to roast until medium-rare or your desired doneness (160 degrees for medium).
- 7.
- Allow steaks to rest for ten minutes.
- 8.
- To prepare the sauce, saute sliced mini portabellos in butter over high heat for two minutes, or until browned.
- Add cream, season to taste and pour over steaks.
