Grandma Liz's Saucy Baked Chicken With Herb Biscuits Recipe
- 1/2 env. (1.25 ounce.) onion soup mix
- 1 can (10 3/4 ounce.) condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1 c. water
- 2 1/4 c. Bisquick baking mix
- 2/3 c. lowfat milk
- 1 teaspoon dry parsley
- 1/8 teaspoon grnd sage
- 2 1/2-3 pound cut up broiler fryer chicken
- Mix onion soup mix (dry), soup and water in ungreased rectangular pan (13 x 9 x 2 inches).
- Place chicken, skin sides up, in soup mix; spoon soup mix over chicken.
- Cover and bake 1 hour.
- Mix remaining ingredients till dough forms, beat vigorously (30 seconds).
- Drop about 12 spoonfuls onto chicken and gravy.
- Bake uncovered 15 min or possibly till biscuits are light brown.
- 6 servings.
