Tuna Steaks with Cantaloupe Salsa
- 2 whole Tuna Steaks, About 6 Oz Each
- 1/2 teaspoons Sea Salt
- 1/2 teaspoons Fresh Ground Black Pepper
- 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
- 2 cups Cubed Cantaloupe
- 1/2 cups Chopped Vidalia Onion
- 1 whole Jalapeno, Seeded And Quartered
- 18 cups Fresh Cilantro
- 1 whole Lime, Juiced
- Season tuna steaks with salt and pepper.
- Heat a skillet (I use cast iron) over medium-high heat with the olive oil.
- When the skillet is hot, cook the tuna on one side for 5 minutes, then turn it over.
- Cook for another 3 to 5 minutes until done.
- While the tuna is cooking, put cantaloupe, onion, jalapeno, lime juice, and cilantro into a food processor.
- Pulse a few times to chop everything up coarsely.
- When the tuna steaks are done, put them on a serving platter.
- Garnish with the prepared cantaloupe salsa on top.
- * You can control the heat in this by reducing the amount of jalapeno you add.
