Sausage & Cheese Brunch Bake Recipe
- 8 slices bread
- 3/4 pound cheddar cheese
- 2 pound link or possibly bulk sausage
- 4 Large eggs, beaten
- 2 1/4 c. lowfat milk
- 3/4 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1 can mushroom soup
- 1/2 can lowfat milk
- Trim crusts from bread slices and cube.
- Fry sausage.
- Drain grease.
- Butter 9 x 13 inch baking dish and place bread cubes in bottom of baking dish.
- Add in grated cheese.
- If links are used, cut in 1/4 and place sausage over cheese.
- Add in beaten Large eggs, lowfat milk and dry mustard.
- Pour over above mix.
- Cover with foil and chill overnight.
- Remove about 1 hour before baking and cover with mushroom soup and lowfat milk.
- Bake uncovered for 1 hour at 325 degrees.
