Steak Balsamico
- 4 (6 ounce) flat iron steaks
- 1 14 teaspoons salt, divided
- 34 teaspoon ground pepper, divided
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 (8 ounce) package mushrooms
- 12 cup balsamic vinegar
- Clean and slice mushrooms.
- Set aside.
- Rub steaks with 1 t salt and 1/2 t pepper.
- Cook steaks in hot oil in a large skillet over medium high heat for 4-5 minutes per side.
- Let rest on a warming platter (in oven) or near burner.
- Add garlic to the skillet; saute 30 seconds, stirring constantly.
- Add mushrooms and remaining 1/4 t salt and 1/4 t pepper, saute 3 minutes.
- Stir in vinegar; cook for 5 minutes, stiriing frequently.
- Spoon mixture over each steak.
- Serve immediately.
