Creamy Herbed Parmesan Pasta Sauce With Bacon and Mushrooms

  1. Place bacon pieces in a large frying pan and fry until about halfway cooked.
  2. (or you can do this step in the microwave).
  3. Drain (but don't blot off all the fat) and add chopped onions, mushrooms, and garlic.
  4. Fry until onion is soft.
  5. Add flour and seasonings and stir until you can't see the flour.
  6. Gradually add milk while stirring.
  7. Simmer until thickened.
  8. (This probably won't take more than a minute or two, depending on what kind of pan you're using.)
  9. Add parmesan cheese and stir until cheese is melted.
  10. Add to cooked pasta, toss to coat and serve.
