caramel banana cream pie

  1. In heavy saucepan, dissolve cornstarch in water; stir in sweetened condensed milk and egg yolks.
  2. Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly.
  3. Remove from heat; add butter and vanilla.
  4. Cool slightly.
  5. Slice 2 bananas; dip in lemon juice and drain.
  6. Arrange on bottom of prepared crust.
  7. Pour filling over bananas; cover and chill 4 hours or until set.
  8. Spread top with whipped cream.
  9. Slice remaining bananas; dip in Realemon; drain and garnish top of pie drizzle caramel on top if wanted.
  10. Refrigerate leftovers.
