Maple Sugar Caramels
- 14 cup granulated sugar
- 34 cup maple sugar
- 14 cup light brown sugar
- 14 cup light corn syrup
- 12 cup heavy cream
- 18 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 12 cup chopped walnuts
- In a medium sized pan, combine all the sugars, corn syrup and cream until sugar dissolves.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until candy thermometer reads 250 degrees F.
- Remove pan from heat and stir in the salt, butter and nuts.
- Pour mixture into a buttered pan and let cool.
- Cut into squares.
