Swiss & Ham Puff Pastry Squares

  1. Heat oven to 400F.
  2. Place waxed paper onto cutting board; unfold 1 pastry sheet on waxed paper.
  3. Using a pizza cutter or knife, cut pastry sheet into 1 1/2-inch squares.
  4. Place squares onto ungreased baking sheet.
  5. Repeat with remaining pastry sheet.
  6. Combine egg and water in bowl.
  7. Brush tops of pastry squares; sprinkle with poppy seed.
  8. Bake 8-10 minutes or until pastry is puffed and golden brown.
  9. Cool completely.
  10. Combine all filling ingredients in bowl.
  11. Split each square horizontally with small serrated knife.
  12. Fill with about 1 teaspoon filling mixture.
