Mixed Dahl

  1. Heat oil in large saucepan over high heat.
  2. Saute garlic, chilli and ginger for 3-4 mins until onions are tender.
  3. Add the cumin,ground coriander and tumeric.
  4. Cook, stirring for 1 minute.
  5. Mix in the tomatoes, stock, split peas and lentils.
  6. Bring to boil.
  7. Reduce heat & simmer, covered, about 30 mins until dhal is tender.
  8. Stir half the fresh cilantro through.
  9. Sprinkle with the remaining coriander, to garnish.
