Gourmet Oatmeal Cookies

  1. Preheat oven to 350u0b0.
  2. Beat margarine and sugars until creamy. Add eggs, milk and vanilla; mix well.
  3. Combine oats, flour, baking soda, baking powder and 1 teaspoon salt, if desired, in separate bowl.
  4. Add to margarine mixture; mix well.
  5. Stir in chips and pecans.
  6. Chill dough 1 hour.
  7. Drop by rounded teaspoonful onto ungreased cookie sheet.
  8. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes.
  9. Let stand 5 minutes before removing to racks to cool.
  10. Makes 5 dozen.
