Pizza ala D'Arcy
- 1 packages premade pizza dough
- 4 oz fresh arugula leaves
- 3/4 cup sliced prosciutto or pepperoni slices
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 3 Roma tomatoes, seeded and cored
- 2 tbsp grated parmesan cheese
- 2 pinch salt
- 1/4 tsp oregano
- 1/4 tsp basil
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 2 tbsp olive oil, extra virgin
- 2 tbsp balsamic vinaigrette
- Preheat oven to 450F.
- Oil a baking sheet.
- Roll out pizza dough and stretch to fit onto the baking sheet.
- Chop the seeded and cored tomatoes, then hand crush them in a bowl.
- Add spices and salt.
- Brush pizza dough with olive oil and spread tomatoes on the dough, leaving a 1-2 inch birder for a crust.
- Place pizza on middle rack of the oven and bake for approximately 12 minutes.
- Remove pizza from oven, and top with meat.
- Put tray back in the oven, rotated 180.
- Bake for an additional 12 minutes or until crust is golden brown.
- Remove pizza from oven and sprinkle cheese on top.
- Place back in the oven at broil (550F) for 2 minutes, or until cheese melts.
- Remove from oven and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
- Add arugula and drizzle with balsamic vinaigrette.
- Slice and serve.
