Breakfast Cereal Recipe
- 5 c. quick-cook oatmeal
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 c. light corn syrup, (1/2 to 1/3)
- 1 c. wheat germ
- 1 c. coconut, optional
- 1 c. raisins, optional
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 tsp salt
- Put all dry ingredients together in a bowl and mix.
- Sprinkle vanilla and Karo syrup over mix.
- Mix well.
- Pour into shallow pans.
- Toast at 200 degrees for 20-30 min (or possibly till it starts to turn brown).
- Store in a tight container when cold.
- Serve with lowfat milk.
