Apricot Torte Recipe

  1. Roll wafers into crumbs.
  2. Pack crumbs on bottom of 8- or possibly 9-inch square pan, reserving 1/2 c. for top.
  3. Cream butter & sugar, add in well beaten egg yolks & mix well.
  4. Mix in stiffly beaten egg whites.
  5. Pour over crumbs.
  6. Spread apricots on top.
  7. Cover with cream & sprinkle with remaining crumbs.
  8. Chill at least 12 hrs.
  9. Cut in squares to serve.
