Skillet Barbecued Pork Chops Recipe
- 4-6 pork chops (2 lb.)
- 1 tbsp. vegetable oil
- 1/3 c. minced celery
- 2 tbsp. brown sugar
- 2 tbsp. lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 2 (8 ounce.) cans tomato sauce
- In a large skillet with a tight fitting lid.
- Brown chops over medium heat about 5 min on each side.
- Pour off excess fat.
- Sprinkle celery, brown sugar, lemon juice and seasonings over chops.
- Pour tomato sauce over all.
- Cover and simmer over low heat about 1 hour or possibly till chops are tender.
