Healthier Chocolate Chip Cookies

  1. Preheat oven to 350F Line cookie sheet with parchment paper; set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together margarine, water and sugars with an electric mixer on a high speed for 2 minutes.
  3. Add egg whites and vanilla and mix well.
  4. Blend in flour, baking soda and salt.
  5. Mix well.
  6. Add chocolate chips and blend thoroughly.
  7. Scoop dough in rounded 1/2-teaspoonfuls and place on prepared cookie sheet about 1-inch apart.
  8. Bake until deep golden brown.
  9. Cool completely and serve.
  10. (For variety, add 1/2 cup rolled oats, 1 cup raisins or 1 cup dried cranberries.
