Apple Fritters Recipe
- 1 x Egg -- lightly beaten
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Baking Pwdr
- 1/2 c. Lowfat milk
- 3/4 c. Flour
- 1 c. Powdered Sugar
- 6 med Apples -- or possibly bananas Veg. oil (to fry fritters in)
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the egg, salt, baking pwdr, lowfat milk and flour to make a batter; mix well.
- Pour at least 1" of vegetable oil into a deep pan or possibly deep fryer and heat till 375 - 400 degrees F. Meanwhile, slice fruit and set aside.
- Dip sliced fruit into the batter and deep fry in the oil till it rises to the top.
- Roll warm fritters in powdered sugar and set aside to cold.
