Pot Roast Supreme With Sour Cream Gravy Recipe
- 3-4 pound beef pot roast
- Flour, salt & pepper
- 2 sm. onions
- 2 bay leaves
- 5 whole cloves
- 1/4 c. water
- 1/4 c. wine vinegar
- Oil
- Coat roast with flour, then salt and pepper liberally.
- Brown roast slowly on all sides in warm oil.
- Remove from heat, then add in onions, bay leaves, cloves, vinegar and water.
- Cover tightly and cook slowly for 2 1/2 hrs, till tender, turning frequently.
- Add in water, as needed, to prevent sticking.
