Irish Sodabread
- 4 cup wheat flour
- 2 cup white flour
- 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 3 cup buttermilk
- 1 tbsp butter
- Cut butter into flour.
- Add salt and soda, mix.
- Add buttermilk and stir into ball of dough.
- Knead the dough a few times.
- Place ball of dough on greased pan and smoosh the top down to make a flattened oval about 2" thick.
- Bake at 400F 20 minutes.
- Then adjust temp to 325 and bake 30 minutes.
