Smoked Turkey and Ricotta Pizza
- 1 whole Batch Of Prepared Pizza Dough (enough For 1 Medium-large Pizza)
- 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
- 2 cloves Garlic, Minced
- 1 cup Ricotta Cheese
- 2 cups Cooked Smoked Turkey Breast, Cubed
- 1 cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
- Begin by preheating your oven to 475 F with a pizza stone inside, if you have one.
- During this time, prepare your ingredients.
- Roll out your pizza dough to about a 12-inch pie.
- Once the oven is preheated, place the dough on your pizza stone, and cook for about 5 minutes or so, until it par cooks.
- If it begins to bubble up, poke the air pocket with a fork.
- After about 5 minutes, open your oven door and slide out the stone a bit on your rack.
- Brush on the olive oil, then spread on the garlic.
- Place it back in the oven and cook for about 3 more minutes.
- Remove it from the oven, then spoon on the ricotta, spreading it all over the dough.
- Top the ricotta cheese with the smoked turkey, then the mozzarella cheese.
- Slide it back into the oven and cook for 5 minutes or just until the mozzarella cheese is nice and bubbly.
- Pull the stone out of the oven remove the pizza from the stone and onto your cutting board.
- Slice and serve.
- Before biting into it you get this subtle smoke smell from the turkey that is just exciting in itself.
- Then when you bite into it, you get this garlic creaminess, along with the pull from the mozzarella cheese and the chunks of smoked turkey.
- Its great.
- Its a whole new take on pizza, and to me, I love that.
- If you have any leftover smoked turkey, go ahead and give this pizza a shot.
- Simple and delicious.
