Simple CrockPot Roast- Recipe from my mother in law
- 2 packages roast
- 5 large potatos
- 1 cup carrots
- 1 cup celery
- 1 medium onion slices
- Boil water on high in a crockpot less than half of the crockpot
- dice the celery , dice carrots in big pieces, and cut the onion in long slices.
- Mix in a bowl
- cut the potatoes in large pieces.
- (Leave the potatoes aside because that will be the last ingredient you will use)
- season one roast with garlic pepper, season all, and a 1tsp of salt and do the same with the other package or roast if you are making two.
- Two will feed a family of 5-7 people
- Use a long piece of foil to cover one seasoned roast and add the mixed veggies and do the same with the other seasoned roast
- place covered roast in pot filled with water and leave cooking for 3 hours.
- in one hour and a half add the potatos in the water.
- Do not add potatos right away because they will mash up.
- In 3 hours it will be ready to serve!
- you can make gravy with it and mashed potatoes on the side with macaroni or green beens.
roast, potatos, carrots, celery, onion
